What is Opus?
The Opus
realtime database server is the task that runs at the core of Phocus SCADA and HMI software product.
There are versions of OPUS for QNX4 and QNX6 developed by Nautsilus.
The Opus
Server was derived from the stable and successful 'Sitex Server', which was at
the heart of Sitex 2 and Sitex 3 systems.
The Opus
product range includes the Opus Real-time Distributed Database Server along with
several sub-service tasks for writing and reading historical trend and event
data. The server itself includes facilities to manage and distribute real-time
data changes to client applications, user access control, IO server management
and issuing and monitoring of control actions.
The Opus
server is available with several different record capacities. They include the
100, 250, 1000, 10000 and 130000 record database. Also an active standby server
system is available for all systems other than the 100 and 250.
